Vegan meat :

There are many people who don't like meat, people who can't consume meat due to medical concerns, and people who are looking for a sustainable alternative to meat. Protein plays a major role in human being muscle development and meat is a protein-rich food. Although there are existing alternatives for meat like tofu, soya chunks, etc lot of food experts and chefs are still working to create plant-based meat substitutes which are much alike real meat in terms of protein, vitamins, texture, and taste.

Tofu is the first plant-based meat introduced to the world by the Chinese centuries ago. Although vegan meat started as an alternative to animal meat there are some other worst scenarios that eventually lead this industry to grow. They are over flocking and overgrazing People who work in poultry farms are most prone to interstitial lung disease due to the tiny hair kind of particles from features and continuous overgrazing for years leads to serious soil erosion and which will show a great impact on the ecosystem. These days researches are being carried out to produce meat in the laboratory from animal cells and some even get succeeded but we still have to go a long way to produce meat in large quantities in such a way.

Benefits of switching to vegan meat:

  • Cruelty-free.

  • Good for gut health.

  • Good source of protein for vegetarians or vegans.

  • More sustainable way of living, we can get rid of all the bad effects caused by over flocking and overgrazing.

Reusable book:

Let's say we want to keep track of our daily activities or plan our day we can have two options,

1) List them on a book or sticky notes.

2) Use some apps like keep notes.

Manufacturing of paper, from getting raw materials to paper production involves a lot of carbon emissions and poor factory waste management may result in contaminated water and soil. On the other hand, storing data on mobiles/desktop basically get stored on cloud servers that need an enormous amount of power. Either way, they are causing some kind of damage to the environment. Here comes the solution which is the reusable book.

Benefits of Reusable books:

  • No cutting down of trees.

  • No overflowing landfills.

  • No power consumption.

  • Easy to use.

  • Budget-friendly.

Solar-powered roads:

If we can generate 100% of the power the world uses from renewable energy sources like Solar, wind, and tidal we can reduce the world's greenhouse gas emissions by 70%. If this happens the world is going to be a clean and better place to live than it is now. Solar-powered roads, the idea of solar-powered roads is to replace the asphalt layer of roads with structurally engineered solar panels.

The first public installation was in Jeff Jones Town Square in Sandpoint, Idaho by Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR). But they stopped expanding their project after a few months because these solar panels were not optimally designed to withstand snow and the led lights of the panels stopped working after a few days of installation. Now SBIR is working on building a better version of solar panels.

Although Solar-powered roads are one of the greatest ideas, it may take a few years to build panels that are economical and can withstand heavy traffic, winters, and rain.

Anti-pollutant tires:

For decades Coho Salmon a type of fish returning from the pacific ocean to the Puget Sound of Washington to spawn were dying in large numbers. Scientists are working to solve this mystery and noticed they occurred after heavy rains. When they accidentally suspected tire waste, they tested actual runoff collected from a nearby road and exposed Coho salmon to it. The fish died within hours. Later after some research scientists got to know that synthetic rubbers, fillers, and softeners from tires leave a residue on road and get washed up into rivers and oceans one of the reasons for microplastic pollution in waterbodies. These microplastics are a great treat for marine life not only for fish but also for corals and seaweed. FYI, seaweed produces around 70% of the total oxygen on Earth.

The Tyre Collective says that the average car produces about 2 grams of tire dust a day while bus routes can produce hundreds of grams a day. To solve this problem anti pollutant tires are introduced. In Anti pollutant tires, a device would be mounted a certain distance away from the tire’s edge, somewhat like a fairing, which captures tire particles stored away in a cartridge and which can be used in making new tires.

If anyone didn't care about the fish's life it's okay because you are going to have the same Salmon filled with microplastics for dinner. Same fish oil in medicine or food you take.
